You already know something needs to shift

Most executives arrive at coaching not because they are failing, but because the stakes have grown and the old playbook no longer fits. Here is what we typically hear — and what changes.

Before coaching

  • Decisions feel heavier and lonelier at the top
  • Strategic thinking gets crowded out by operational firefighting
  • Difficult conversations are postponed, eroding team trust
  • Personal energy and motivation fluctuate unpredictably
  • Feedback loops are absent — no honest mirror available

After coaching

  • A clear decision-making framework reduces cognitive load
  • Protected thinking time becomes a non-negotiable habit
  • Courageous conversations happen earlier and more skillfully
  • Sustainable rhythms replace boom-and-bust energy patterns
  • A trusted sounding board accelerates growth and accountability

How our coaching engagement unfolds

Every programme is tailored, yet each follows a proven four-phase arc that keeps momentum and ensures tangible outcomes.

Discovery

We begin with a confidential ninety-minute exploration of your current reality, aspirations, and the systemic forces at play. A 360-degree feedback tool may be used to surface blind spots early.

Design

Together we co-create a coaching agreement with three to five measurable objectives, a session cadence that fits your diary, and clear success indicators agreed with your sponsor if applicable.

Deep work

Fortnightly sessions of sixty to seventy-five minutes combine reflective inquiry, behavioural experiments, and real-time practice. Between sessions, targeted micro-actions keep learning alive in the day-to-day.

Integration

In the final phase we consolidate gains, build a personal leadership playbook, and plan a self-sustaining development practice so progress continues long after our engagement ends.

Coaching areas we specialise in

Each area draws on evidence-based models, deep business experience, and a genuine curiosity about what makes you tick.

Strategic leadership coaching discussion in a modern boardroom

Strategic leadership transitions

Stepping into a new role — whether a first-time CEO, a board appointment, or a cross-functional move — demands a rapid recalibration of identity and influence. We accelerate that shift so you deliver impact within the first hundred days instead of spending six months finding your footing.

Executive team engaged in leadership alignment session

Stakeholder influence and presence

Technical brilliance alone rarely wins at the executive table. We work on your communication architecture — how you frame complex ideas, read the room, and build coalitions — so your voice carries weight in the moments that matter most, from investor pitches to transformation programmes.

Reflective walk along Welsh coast symbolising resilience and renewal

Resilience, energy, and wellbeing

Sustained high performance requires more than grit. We explore your personal energy system — sleep, recovery, emotional regulation, boundary-setting — and design protocols that prevent burnout while actually increasing your creative output and decision quality over time.

Frequently asked questions

Honest answers to the things prospective clients most often want to know before committing.

How long does a typical executive coaching engagement last?
Most programmes run between six and twelve months, with fortnightly sessions. Shorter, intensive engagements of three months are available for leaders navigating an urgent transition or a specific high-stakes challenge such as a restructuring or board presentation.
Is coaching confidential?
Absolutely. Everything discussed in sessions remains between you and your coach. If a sponsor or HR partner is involved, we agree in advance exactly what will and will not be shared — typically only high-level themes and progress against objectives, never personal content.
What is the difference between coaching and mentoring?
A mentor typically shares their own experience and advises from a position of domain expertise. A coach partners with you to surface your own insights, challenge assumptions, and build capability. In practice our sessions blend both: we will share a relevant framework when it is genuinely useful, but the primary orientation is coaching — helping you think better rather than telling you what to think.
Can sessions take place remotely?
Yes. Around sixty percent of our current clients work with us via secure video. In-person sessions are available in Wales and can be arranged elsewhere in the UK by agreement. Many leaders prefer a hybrid model — meeting face-to-face for the deeper discovery sessions and using video for ongoing fortnightly work.
How do I know if executive coaching is right for me?
Coaching works best when you are willing to be honest with yourself, open to experimentation, and ready to invest time between sessions. If you are looking for someone to validate the status quo, coaching may not be the right fit. A free discovery call lets us both assess whether there is a strong working match.
